Everything an astronomer needs.
Nothing you don't.

🌡️
Three sensors, one device

Monitor up to three locations simultaneously — telescope tube, dome interior, and outside air, or any combination that suits your setup.

📱
Phone web app

Add to your iPhone or Android home screen like a native app. Temperatures update live every five seconds — no separate app to install.

🔆
Night-vision display

Red tinted OLED screen, preserving your dark adaptation. Four brightness levels, adjustable from the device or your phone.

🏷️
Custom sensor names

Label each sensor for your own setup — Scope, Dome, Outside, Mirror, or anything up to seven characters. Names can be set during initial configuration or changed at any time from the web app.

⚙️
Simple WiFi setup

Hold the button on power-up to enter setup mode. Your phone connects to the device's own WiFi hotspot — no cables, no software, no computer required.

🌡️
Celsius or Fahrenheit

Switch between units at any time from the device menu or the web app. The setting persists across power cycles.

📈
Trend & min/max tracking

Each reading shows a trend indicator — rising, falling, or steady — so you can see at a glance which way temperatures are heading. Session minimum and maximum values are tracked and displayed in the web app, with a one-tap reset.

🔒
OTA firmware updates

For any future firmware updates, this can be updated over your WiFi network — no USB cable or computer tools required.

🌙
Screen timeout

The OLED display can be set to dim automatically after a period of inactivity — 1, 5, or 10 minutes — to reduce light pollution during long sessions. A simple button press wakes it instantly.

🔌
Standard USB power

Powered by any USB charger or power bank. No proprietary connectors, no batteries to replace mid-session.

🛠️
Built in Lancashire

Every unit is individually assembled, tested, and configured by hand. Supplied ready to use — just plug in and observe.

🌙

Designed for the dark

The display and the web app all use a deep red and purple colour scheme. Red light causes far less pupil contraction than white — preserving the dark adaptation you've spent twenty minutes building. Conventional white-screen devices cost you that in seconds.

More uses than
you might expect

Optics
Thermal equalisation

Monitor when your telescope mirror or lens has cooled to match the outside air — the point at which seeing improves dramatically and stars snap into focus.

Dew Control
Dew prevention

Watch the gap between optic temperature and dew point. A warming dew heater shows up immediately — know it's working without leaving your seat.

Environment
Observatory climate

Track the difference between inside your dome or shed and the outside air — useful for ventilation decisions and understanding local seeing conditions.

Imaging
Focus drift monitoring

Temperature shifts cause focus drift in long imaging runs. A sensor on the focuser tube lets you correlate temperature changes with focus position as you image.

Equipment
Gear protection

Mount a sensor inside a storage area or equipment case. Know the temperature before committing sensitive electronics or optics to a cold or damp environment.

General
Weather monitoring

A simple, reliable outside temperature sensor that updates on your phone. No subscription, no cloud service — just a number on your home screen.

Live readings,
on your phone.

  • Installs on iPhone and Android

Visit the device's address once in Safari or Chrome, tap Add to Home Screen, and it's there like any other app. No App Store, no account, no subscription.

  • Live readings every 5 seconds

Temperatures update automatically every 5 seconds. A live indicator shows the connection status — if the device loses power, you'll see immediately.

  • Full device control from your phone

The web app's Device Settings panel lets you switch temperature units, adjust screen brightness, rename sensors, set the screen timeout, and reset session min/max values — all without touching the device. Changes take effect immediately.

  • Works on desktop too

Open the IP address in any browser on your laptop or observatory computer. Chrome and Edge can install it as a standalone desktop app.
